Gentle methods of treatment are convincing
Germans are relying increasingly on gentle methods of treatment. Almost every second person is convinced of the efficacy of natural medicine. Another 36 percent assume that herbs and plants are “definitely useful“ for minor illnesses such as coughing – especially younger people are of this opinion (45 percent of 18- to 25-year-olds). 13 percent of the interviewees have even a better opinion of natural products than of chemical medications. This is one of the results of a representative study in which 1,001 selected adult German citizens aged 18 to 45 were surveyed on the subject online by order of the wellness department of the magazine "bella" (10/03/ots/ F&S Internet Infotainment GmbH).

Some of the most frequently used natural medicines include chamomile for inflammations and sore throat (83 percent), fennel tea for coughing (61 percent), arnica for sprains and muscular pain (31 percent) as well as herbal teas for sleep disorders (25 percent).
